Brunner mine journey

On Monday the 5th Totara 1 Went to Bunner mine and we had an amazing learning journey.

We Left the school at about 9:15 and arrived at Brunner around 9:30

The first thing we did was get the rules and day planned out at the main entry before the bridge by what we call the 'giant chimney'.

Then we walked down the bridge to the information area, We were split into two groups.

My group went on a little tour first while the other did dress up and photos.
We walked around the whole Brunner mine being told about many different things like, Did you know that they used a method called board and pillar to stop the ceiling from falling on top of them.

After our tour we had little lunch then we swapped rotations

It was now my groups turn to dress up and take photos I couldn't stop laughing I had to hold what I call the demon baby, It was a doll baby that stared at you showing its two front teeth. We took photos as if we were running to the mine after the explosion.

Then we came back and had lunch

After that we went to the cemetery and did activity's based on the graves.

We got back around 2:00
